Founded in the 1920s by the Duxler family, Duxler has been owned and operated by the Moak family since 1982. Duxler is a leader on the North Shore when it comes to quality auto care - and it's one of the most capable businesses of its type anywhere in Illinois.

Duxler is one of the largest auto repair facilities on the North Shore, employing a large staff of knowledgeable and friendly service advisors and technicians. Quality service combined with name brand tires and parts put Duxler in a league of our own. Glenn Moak and his son Brian, owners of Duxler Complete Auto Care Centers, believe in a strong sense of community. Duxler is proud to support many organizations in the North Shore community. Duxler Complete Auto Care is a sponsor of school newsletters, local art festivals, local not-for-profits, and local little league teams. Duxler Days

Since Glenn Moak started with his first shop in Evanston in the 1980’s, Duxler has supported local schools, sports teams, and not-for-profit organizations. “I think the future lies in the hands of kids, and it’s nice to help them out silently, in a way they don’t know about.”

In keeping with Duxler’s tradition of supporting the community, we will focus on three wonderful and worthy organizations in 2011 through Duxler Days: The Adoption Center for Family Building; Little City Foundation; and Y.W.C.A. Evanston’s Mary Lou’s Place.

The Adoption Center for Family Building:

The Adoption Center is a private, non-profit adoption agency licensed in both Illinois and Indiana. They offer a safe, caring atmosphere for birthmothers, birthfathers and adoptive families. Staff consists of professional counselors who are passionate about adoption, most having had experience with adoption in their own lives. Little City Foundation:

For more than 50 years, Little City Foundation has been ensuring that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are provided with the best options and opportunities to live safely, work productively, explore creatively and learn continuously throughout their lifetime. Y.W.C.A. Evanston’s Mary Lou’s Place:

Mary Lou's Place, a domestic violence shelter for women and their children (formerly the Evanston Shelter for Battered Women and Their Children), was created in 1980 as a five-bed volunteer-run shelter, and has since grown into a 32-bed residential facility. Women and children, including boys up to the age of 12, are able to access emergency shelter for up to 90 days. For more information, visit www.ywcae-ns.org.

Non-Commissioned Staff

At Duxler, each of our service advisors and mechanics are salaried employees. No one is paid on commission. This is the opposite of how it is usually done in the auto repair industry. This way you can always count on the service advisor you are working with to recommend exactly what you need — and nothing more.

Local Shuttle Service

Duxler is happy to offer in-town local shuttle services to the train, or your home or office. We understand the nuisance of having a malfunctioning vehicle and do everything possible to make your visit as convenient as possible.

Family-Friendly

At Duxler Complete Auto Care, we welcome all customers and are "family friendly." We provide clean, comfortable waiting rooms with safe and sanitary children's play areas complete with toys.
